Yeah... Sure... I know, it kind of sounds like an oxymoron to me too. But here's the deal:
At what point, in your attempt to give your man an opportunity to be honest and forthcoming, does the conversation, in which he goes into left field and tries to reassure you of something that is completely and utterly false, become a turn in the wrong damn direction?
So here's my assessment, if I needed your false reassurances to bandage my non-existent insecurities about our relationship I would simply ask you for a lie. Telling me I have nothing to worry about, when I know sure and well exactly what's going on, does not negate the fact what you're attempting to present and reassure me of is a lie!
Note to you young man... no false reassurances needed. Don't try to appease me. Offer up the truth and maybe then we can get somewhere.
And such is life....
